Dubai: Dandiya fans in Dubai are in for a treat as the Postcard Millionaire Campaign presents 'Dandiya Dhamaka', one of the biggest dandiya events of the year. Dandiya festivities will be held over two nights as Falguni Pathak and Preety and Pinkii take the stage to thrill Dubai audiences. The singing duo - Preety and Pinkii will perform on October 6 while Falguni Pathak will perform the following night on October 7. Both performances start at 9pm (gates open at 8.30pm) at Wonderland, Dubai.

"The Postcard Millionaire Campaign is always looking at ways to promote cultural understanding. This month, Postcard Millionaire has the opportunity to celebrate the festival of Navratri, with yet another segment of Dubai's multi-cultural community," said Aldrin Fernandes, Managing Director, Concept Today, the sole distribution and marketing agency for the Postcard Millionaire Campaign.

The show is expected to draw dandiya fans from all over the UAE, many attending both days of the show, because of the immense popularity of all three performers. Ms. Pathak's songs have attracted audiences of all ages at dandiya events around the world. To date she has eight albums to her credit. Fans in the emirates will be able to experience her unique talents when she performs with her band 'Ta Thaiyaa' on October 7.

'Dandiya Dhamaka' promises to be two nights of pure magic, and a celebration of one of India's most colorful festivals, said Mohammed Sadiq Bichu, Assistant Sales Manager, Sonex International. "We at Sonex are extremely pleased to be part of the initiative to bring the talented Falguni Pathak and Preety and Pinkii to Dubai," he said.

The Preety-Pinkii singing duo has their own fan following with the success of songs like Piya piya. The sisters, who started performing at an early age, have a worldwide audience and more than 120 shows to their credit. Their albums 'Jhoome Jahan' and 'Mujko Piya Ki Yaaad Sataye' are favourites at dandiya venues.

"Playing dandiya in Dubai is in itself a distinctive experience. But Dandiya Dhamaka adds to the uniqueness of the occasion by offering people the chance to see three tremendously popular artistes perform in a single venue, in the span of two days. Quality shows, with quality brands," said Aiyappan B., Marketing Manager, Grand Stores.

"City 1016, part of the Arabian Radio Network (ARN), has had a major role in developing listener interactive programmes for a large section of the Asian community residing in the emirates. We have chosen to support Dandiya Dhamaka 2004 because of its great appeal to dandiya fans in the UAE and we are very pleased to be associated with this show," said Abdullatif Al Sayegh, Managing Director, ARN.
