Exclusive Views of Burj Khalifa

November 10th 2010: Luxury developer, DAMAC Properties has reached the first podium of construction at its landmark serviced apartment development, Burjside Boulevard. With an exclusive and enviable address, directly opposite the Dubai Mall, Burjside Boulevard will offer guests and residents alike, breathtaking views of the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa.

Burjside Boulevard is DAMAC Properties' first serviced apartment project, and will be managed as per five-star international standards, whether guests have made it their home, or whether they're seeking a home away from home. Enabling works were completed by Norwegian firm Stromek, with Sun Engineering the main contractor for the project. Sun Engineering has more than 30 years experience in the local market, and has been an active participant in the UAE's construction industry, contributing significantly to both the country's modernization and urbanization. Sun Engineering also has its own in-house electromechanical, steel works, joinery and carpentry divisions.

The concept for Burjside Boulevard is groundbreaking for DAMAC Properties. It'll be DAMAC Properties' first serviced apartments. Burjside Boulevard bridges the divide between high-end residential apartments and luxury five-star hotels. "Dubai is a vibrant business hub, and it's very common for people to come to the emirate for months at a time for work.

Hotels can be very impersonal, and it's impractical to rent an apartment for short periods of time. It's that combination of factors which has created a niche market for projects like Burjside Boulevard" said Mc Loughlin.

The serviced apartment property model appeals to investors, particularly as returns are generally more lucrative than residential property investments. While there is a small management fee, it's more than offset by much higher rental yields. "DAMAC Properties is giving investors more choice over their investment, they can buy an apartment to live in, buy it as a rental investment, or live in it some of the time and rent it out for the rest" said Mc Loughlin "Burjside Boulevard is especially suitable for people who know they are going to be periodically in Dubai for weeks or months at a time" he added.
