2 BMW Cars, Dhs. 100,000 Cash Will Go to Lucky Winner
Dubai, August 10, 2004: It may be unlucky for some, but this Friday the 13th will definitely be lucky for at least one person - the winner of the 6th DSS Grand Summer Raffle Draw. With a total prize value of Dh. 450,000 prize in the offing, including two BMW cars and Dh. 100,000 in cash, Friday's draw is sure to whet the appetites of many ticket holders.
Abdullah Amiri, Coordinator of the DSS Grand Summer Raffle Draw committee, said ticket booths have been conveniently located within reach of everyone and the price and prizes cannot be beat, all contributing factors in making the draw a rousing success.
"Everyone dreams of having this prize, it really is a terrific incentive because you are only paying a fraction of the cost - Dh. 200 - for a chance to be part of it, but you could walk away with Dhs. 450,000," Amiri said.
Since the advent of DSS in June, five winners of varying nationalities have staked their claim to the jackpot, he added. A new draw is held after 5,000 tickets have been sold.
"On average, we see customers buying anything from one to five tickets in one go," said Amiri. "People are very excited about the possibility of winning this raffle."
The DSS Grand Summer Raffle draws will take place at 9 pm on Friday at the Hamarain Centre. Raffle tickets are available at 33 Emarat stations across the emirate, are now being sold in additional locations - Deira City Centre, BurJuman Centre, Baniyas Square, Al Fahidi Street and the Gold Souk. Thus far, the winners have been from four different nationalities, showing that this is an equal-opportunity draw and that luck and fortune knows no boundaries.
In every draw one winner walks away with a BMW X3, a BMW 520i and Dh100,000 in cash, bringing the total value of the prize money to Dh450,000. The raffle is being organised by the DSS Office, in association with Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC), the exclusive importer of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates, and Emarat.
