CA ready to share 28 years of data storage expertise with region's technology professionals at the IDC Storage Roadshow

Dubai, January 16, 2005: Computer Associates, the world's largest management software company, today announced that it is a platinum partner for the IDC Storage Roadshow, CEMA 2005, which takes place on January 17th at the Emirates Towers, Dubai. Jason Phippen, EMEA product marketing director for Computer Associates, will deliver the keynote speech, addressing the data storage concerns of IT decision-makers and highlighting Computer Associates' approach and methodology.

"As the amount of data held by organizations increases, their storage environment becomes more and more complicated. Not all data is born equal or maintains a static value to the business throughout its lifecycle. Companies must classify their growing volumes of data effectively and efficiently," said Jason.

"CA is a key player in the storage management solutions industry, with technology that enables companies to classify, protect and manage data intelligently.. CA is committed to its flagship storage solutions, BrightStor." continued Jason

Paul Ransted, Business Technologist for Computer Associates, said: "Our clients manage huge amount of data in their daily operations. CA's BrightStor storage solution enables them to successfully meet the formidable challenge of classifying and storing the critical data allowing them to minimize business risk while optimizing the total business value returned by their investments in storage infrastructure."

CA's participation and sponsorship of the IDC Storage Roadshow event reflects the company's commitment to its customers in the Arab world. CA's direct operations in the region, promises to its customers and partners a wealth of resources that CA deploys globally. The company is investing in a region-wide in-country presence, a qualified and customer driven team, a regional contact center to service its customers as well as a channel strategy to deliver the CA promise. The CA website for customers and partners in the Arab countries (www.ca.com/arabworld) has also recently been developed and launched.
