Unveils new logo symbolizing vision for Dubai's future
Dubai - 30th August 2008: The Community Development Authority (CDA) today announced the launch of its Corporate Identity with the unveiling of its new logo, which has been designed to reflect the CDA's vision of making Dubai an inspiring model of community well-being and national identity.
The logo, depicting the words 'Community Development Authority' beside three green concentric circles blossoming from a red chevron, is expected to become a beacon of hope and peace for citizens of Dubai in the years to come, as the CDA begins its initiatives based on supporting Dubai's sustained social and economic growth, while offering key social services designed to meet the growing community needs. It is noteworthy that the CDA will be specifically working towards enhancing social cohesion, social inclusion, social protection, empowerment and preserving national identity.
The logo itself has many symbolic undertones that tie in with the CDA's mission: The light green colour, inspired by the color of palm-tree leaves, symbolizes peace, growth and natural prosperity, while the red symbolizes humanity's life force of blood. The three circles represent the three elements of the community in Dubai, the individual, the group and the community, and the ripple effect of the circles shows the spread of CDA's message throughout the community and hopefully the region.
Dr. Maryam Mattar, Director General of the CDA, said, "We are very pleased with the launch of our Corporate Identity and feel the logo symbolizes the values of the CDA. We look forward to realizing our vision and producing the ripple effect depicted by the logo throughout Dubai and ensuring a brighter future for all in a cohesive and supportive community.
