Dubai, UAE: Al Emarat GoldQuest launched four new commemorative gold coins in Dubai as part of celebrations marking the sixth anniversary of the QI Ltd group, a diversified multinational conglomerate based in Hong Kong.

The coins, depicting the famous Angkor Wat temple and the birth of Jesus, as well as two sets of medallions for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, follow close on the heels of the popular FIFA World Cup commemorative coins, which GoldQuest distributed in 86 countries.

"GoldQuest constantly upgrades its collections, working with various governments and organizations to feature important personalities as well as landmark historical sites, which add variety and value to its product lines. I am certain that this new set of commemorative coins and medallions will be a great addition to our members' collections," said JR Mayer, group director of Business Development, GoldQuest.

The Angkor Wat Commemorative Coin captures the grandeur of the Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The coin is endorsed by the Cambodia Ministry of Tourism and GoldQuest has agreed to help in the restoration efforts of the historical landmark.

The Birth of the Saviour Coin, which captures the story of Jesus of Nazareth's nativity, is issued by the of Principat d'Andorra Servei d'Emissions (Mint of the Principality of Andorra).

In addition to the new numismatic coins, Goldquest also unveiled two gold medallion sets, which are both endorsed by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)  the United Nations office tasked to ensure food security in the world.

The FAO Agricola Medallion Set is a tribute to five distinguished men who have contributed significantly to the global fight against hunger, and have received the FAO Agricola Medal from the of the United Nations, including His Holiness Pope John Paul II, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, His Majesty King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Jiang Zemin, the former president of the People's Republic of China, and Jayaprakash Narayan, a respected freedom fighter and social reformer from India.

The FAO Ceres Medallion set similarly depicts five famous women: Sophia Loren, Indira Gandhi, Coretta Scott King, Vigdis Finnbogadottir and Ruth Cardoso, who were cited for their contributions to ease world hunger in many parts of the world.

"I am also pleased to announce that we are currently in negotiations to produce a commemorative coin series depicting  the history of Islam, which we hope to finalise very soon," said Mayer.
