Code sharing agreement between Saudi Arabian Airlines and Air France

Sunday 12 December, in Jeddah, Engineer Khaled Al-Molhem, Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Arabian Airlines and Mr. Pierre Henri Gourgeon, Chief Executive Officer of Air France-KLM, signed a code-sharing agreement between the two carriers.

This agreement, which will enter into effect on 10th of January 2011G will enable Saudi Arabian Airlines and Air France to offer their customers daily code-shared flights on Jeddah/Paris/Jeddah and Riyadh/Paris/Riyadh sectors, without any restrictions, by using the new 320/330 Airbus aircrafts which enjoy the best specifications of conveniences and entertainment for passengers of long-haul journeys.

"Saudi Arabian Airlines and Air France are determined to enhance and strengthen their cooperation in order to further improve the quality of service provided to our customers by expanding our international networks. This code-share agreement is a first step of a partnership which will enable the two carriers to offer a better product while being more effective", stated Khaled Al-Molhem and Pierre-Henri Gourgeon.

This agreement also gives Saudi the privilege of transferring from terminal 1 to terminal 2 in Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, while Air France will be privileged to transfer to the Southern Terminal in KAIA in Jeddah in order to serve the passengers with high flexibility.

The code-shared agreement has been signed within the framework of the joint cooperation between Saudi Arabian Airlines and Air France and in accordance to what has been mentioned in the Memorandum of Understanding signed in June 2010 between the two carriers and which included many aspects of cooperation such as code shared flights, lounges access or frequent flyer programme cooperation.
