Global leader CND created complementary runway nail looks

CND, the world renowned leader in professional hand and foot beauty, created trendy nail designs to complement the latest collections of the top notch international fashion labels at Dubai Fashion 2008 that concluded recently. Organized by the Dubai Shopping Festival under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum - wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Fashion was hosted at The Madinat Jumeirah from Feb 10 to Feb 12.

CND's top notch team of eight master nail technicians headed by Irene Abogado, CND's leading nail educator in the Middle East region, created trendy nail looks for over 30 models' nails each day.  Thomas Schafer, CND International Account Manager, who flew in from CND's California headquarters to assist in Dubai Fashion commented; "Dubai's Fashion week is just as exciting as the recently concluded New York Fashion Week!  CND's longstanding experience at New York and London fashion weeks season after season, year after year stands us in good stead to be a part of the prestigious Dubai Fashion. CND is known in the designer industry for providing nail designs for the overall runway looks and Dubai seems to be an upcoming international city where high fashion reigns amongst the social elite and fashionistas."

Dubai Fashion kicked off with the designs of Barbara Bui and Stéphane Rolland.  CND and the designers created a pure translucent look for the nails, using CND's enamel 'Blushing' which matched the overall bare toned theme of the collections.  The Etoile Group collections took to the ramp on the second day, including creations of renowned names like Karl Lagerfield, Christian Dior, John Galliano, Ungaro, Valentino, in addition to Stella Cadente and Michel Klein. CND and the designers had decided to be more extravagant by creating an avant-garde classic French look using CND's 'Pharaohs Gold' to create golden nails with shimmering 'Silver Anniversary' tip.  CND's 'Candy Apple', a deep red, radiated passion from the nails of the models on the final day which was reserved Christian Lacroix's classic collections.

Said Birsen Tomar, the Middle East manager of CND, "As CND is present backstage at all blockbuster events such as Grammy Awards, The Oscar's, Sundance Film Festival amongst several others, it gives us immense pleasure to be a part of Dubai Fashion. Our nail designs have complemented the latest collections of designers and facilitated in creating an overall look for the catwalk.  CND appreciates the DSF organizers for inviting us to be a part of this prestigious event. With the conclusion of our fifth year of collaboration with Dubai Fashion, we look forward to many more."

Since the launch of Dubai Fashion in 2004, CND has complemented the collections of several designers including Valentino, Christian LaCroix, Peter Dundas designer of Emanuel Ungaro, Antonio Marras designer of Kenzo and Sonia Rykiel. Known for accessorizing the nail looks for a multitude of international superstar designers such as Alexander McQueen, Betsey Johnson, Carolina Herrera to name a few from the endless list, CND has vast experience in creating the latest catwalk nail looks at fashion and designer events across the world.
