UAE, August 27 2014: This September Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa Resort will be embracing its African-inspired concept and celebrate South African Heritage Month.
Christoph Holpzafel, Villas Manager, Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort says " ...for those South Africans living in the UAE, the resort feels like home away from home, with each private thatched-villa designed to integrate seamlessly with the surroundings, and each with views over the Savannah."
The 24thSeptember marks 'National Braai day', which recognizes the South African culinary tradition of a 'Braii', or an informal barbeque. In celebration of this day, Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort will be hosting three special Braii evenings in its traditional Boma, on 19th, 24thand 26thSeptember, where guests can enjoy sitting in the open air whilst dining by the light of lanterns and the central glowing fireplace. A number of tempting South African specialties will be cooked and served such as Boerewors (a special South African sausage), Oxtail Potjie, Lamb Bredie and delicious desserts such as Milk tart and Malva Pudding, all for AED 250*per person. Boma evenings will be available for guests to enjoy from Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort as well as the two other luxury Anantara properties situated on the island: family friendly Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara and beachside Anantara Al Yamm Villa Resort.
Throughout the month additional promotions to celebrate the occasion will be offered, including the addition of a Braii to the list of Anantara's signature Dining by Design options available on Sir Bani Yas Island. For AED 850* per person, couples can enjoy a romantic set-up for two in the Savannah, with a Braai cooked by their very own Chef for the evening.
Throughout the month, Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort is offering South African Nationals special offers on overnight stays.

For hundreds of years throughout Thailand, people would leave a jar of water outside their house to provide refreshment and extend a welcome to the passing traveller. Anantara is taken from an ancient Sanskrit word that means 'without end', symbolising this sharing of water and the heartfelt hospitality that lies at the core of every Anantara experience.
From lush jungles to pristine beaches and legendary deserts to cosmopolitan cities, Anantara currently boasts more than 30 stunning properties located in Thailand, the Maldives, Bali, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Mozambique and the United Arab Emirates; with future properties to open in Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Laos, Qatar and Oman.
