The proposed "Cedar Island" project could see the light of day soon, states Noor International Holding. Lebanon is witnessing a very positive and encouraging investment environment which is quite obvious in the tremendous attraction of both Gulf and global investments. As a result, serious calls have been conducted with Noor Int'l Holding to reactivate the issue of building the Cedar Island. Dr. Mohammed Adib Saleh, Noor Int'l Holding Chairman, pointed: "Despite the existence of many attempts to create the island outside Lebanon, I insist that Lebanon's great symbol will have no place other than Lebanon and will be built by Lebanese arms with the contribution of Lebanese firms."
On the other hand, Dr. Abdullah Itani, Noor Int'l Holding Legal Counsel, informed that several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) have been already signed with major Gulf investors and strategic international partners. "So, serious efforts and support from both the Lebanese government and the responsible regulating organizations are needed to activate the marine laws and set an adequate policy for the execution of this project", he added.
Being certified from the Ministry of Economy and Trade (Intellectual Property Protection Service), the Cedar Island lends itself as a luxurious residential, commercial and touristic project. Its geographic location on the Mediterranean Sea along the Lebanese coast allows it to play a vital role in attracting tourists and VIP residents looking for an exotic lifestyle or escaping from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy Lebanon's moderate climate. And above all, the project will certainly provide many job opportunities and support the domestic product.
