United Arab Emirates - Dubai: Global engineering group Cavotec MSL has entered an agreement with German heavy transport manufacturer Goldhofer to provide advanced radio remote controls (RRC) for the next three years. The remote controls will be used for Goldhofer's heavy transport vehicles.
Revealing the impacts of the deal, Juergen Strommer, Managing Director of Cavotec Middle East, the Group's Dubai-based subsidiary, said, "This deal further demonstrates our commitment to providing innovation and superior technology and poises the group for an exciting period of further growth. By securing another agreement with a highly reputable company, Cavotec enhances its position as a developer of sophisticated technologies which are applicable to a wide range of industries."
Following the notable deal with Goldhofer, Cavotec Middle East will intensify its penetration of the region's industrial market by participating in the Middle East Electricity Exhibition from February 8 to 10 to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. The annual event is a business platform which will showcase the latest technological advancements in power generation, electricity, gas, nuclear and renewable energy, and attract a broad spectrum of exhibitors to showcase products and services to the region's key decision makers. During the exhibition, Cavotec MSL will present products from Wibe, Brevetti, Aura, Cavotec Specimas, Cavotec Alfo, and Cavotec Micro-Control among many others.
Cavotec Micro-Control develops and manufactures high quality, advanced radio remote control systems that meet the vast majority of requirements for applications within the offshore, onshore, mining, maritime and process industries. Products range from standard handheld push button terminals to more sophisticated and custom designs.
Cavotec's RRC systems will allow Goldhofer's operators to remotely steer of heavy duty transport vehicles, which have a payload range from 20 to 10,000 tonnes. Already maximising production capacity with computer-controlled production planning, Goldhofer will further enhance its product offerings with the application of Cavotec's advanced RRC technology.
Cavotec MSL continues its steady growth, closing principal deals with a number of top-tier industrial companies around the world. Recently, Cavotec MSL was awarded a contract by Saudi Oger, one of Saudi Arabia's most prominent construction companies, for the delivery of 53 integrated ground support systems and associated equipment. In addition, the engineering group acquired Meyerinck late last year to develop its refuelling and industrial loading systems.
