Dubai, United Arab Emirates - From the United States to the Middle East, Cadillac's new vehicle line up has recently collected an impressive array of industry awards and accolades.

The 2005 Cadillac STS was nominated by Ward's Auto World magazine, and won automotive 'Interior of the Year' award, marking the return of rear-wheel-drive for the model after nearly 25 years as a front drive model. The interior choices of the Cadillac include aluminium trim on both console and instrument panel on V6 models and two colour choices for wood trim that is standard on V8 models. Other exclusive features of the STS interior include Tuscany leather seats that are available with heating and cooling functions, Bose 5.1 audio system and four- colour, adjustable navigation screen.

In addition to the STS, the SRX and XLR have been the most highly acclaimed Cadillac models, winning the most awards in 2004 and 2005.

The SRX luxury sport utility has been the biggest success story collecting the most awards and winning titles such as '2004 Best Luxury SUV' (Car & Driver Magazine), 'Best of the Best SUV' (Robb Report, 2004),  'Best Luxury SUV 2005' (Car and Driver) and 'SUV of the Year' (Saudi Auto, Middle East).  A modern luxury SUV, the SRX delivers superior driving dynamics and is noted as being unusually athletic for its class. Also receiving an impressive number of awards is the Cadillac XLR convertible luxury roadster, winning awards such as, '2004 Car of the Year' (American Woman Road and Travel Magazine), 'Urban Car of the Year' (On Wheels Magazine) and 'Car Interior of the Year' (Auto Interiors Show).  The XLR brings a striking new presence to the elite luxury roadster class with its dynamic design and advanced technology.

Commenting on the awards Fadi Ghosn, premium brands director - General Motors said, "It is very pleasing to see the Cadillac family winning so many awards and being recognized as a leader in the industry. Cadillac has invested US$ 4billion in the renaissance of the Cadillac brand, repositioning itself as a younger, sharper brand and sending vehicles back to the drawing board to produce leading edge design and improved performance." He continued, "These awards demonstrate how this investment is paying off, proving that the new Cadillac line-up is unbeatable."

The designer-led renaissance of Cadillac has proven to be a huge success story, as shown by growing global sales, market share and the number of awards received in recent years.
