Popular restaurant promises to provide authentic Italian experience in Dubai
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina has announced the re-opening of popular Italian restaurant Bussola at the resort complex. Bussola is one of several unique food and beverage concepts that will feature at Dubai's newest beach property. Known for its legendary brand of hospitality, the Westin says Bussola represents one of the best Italian culinary experiences in the city of Dubai.
According to the new Italian restaurant manager, Gianluca Cugnetto, the popular restaurant feels different since it re-opened at The Westin, although regular patrons welcome the same warmth and service they have come to associate with it in the past. "We have taken Bussola to a new level of dining pleasure. Apart from our trademark service and the sheer richness of our cuisine, there are many new additions including creative touches, and an updated menu.
Bussola features its trademark double-decker layout. Downstairs, the restaurant sets the ambience for a more formal dining experience, while upstairs, the detached roof pizzeria provides a relaxed and casual family atmosphere with the added bonus of stunning views.
The Bussola kitchen is presided over by Sardinian Chef de Cuisine Corrado Pani, who is adept at merging the cuisines of the Mediterranean and Northern Italy, to present a range of dishes that symbolise the best of both. Bussola at The Westin Dubai features a selection of his signature dishes including Beef Tartare, Orange Martini Scallops, Purslane Salad, a special cuttlefish main course, and Steamed Tiramisu.
According to Chef Corrado, the restaurant also aims to create a 'Little Italy' corner in the heart of Dubai, at Bussola. "Very soon, we will serve a series of truly Italian meals throughout the day - for lunch and dinner - and to suit the palates of for all types of audiences," he states. Currently, Bussola is only open for dinner from 7 pm daily and Aperitivo from 7pm on Saturdays. When formally inaugurated in the next few months, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina will be home to some of the most modern and creative food and beverage concepts in Dubai.
The resort will feature 294 rooms, including 216 deluxe rooms, 52 Westin Executive rooms, and 24 suites, apart from a spa, a health club, four themed restaurants and three themed bars. State-of-the-art conference and banqueting facilities include an 8,999 square feet ballroom, an Italian designed conference centre with 10 meeting rooms, an outdoor beachside amphitheatre, and a variety of lawn and barbecue locations accommodating up to 5,000 guests. The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina is located on a stunning 1,200 metre private shoreline, and will have a 238-berth marina, five swimming pools, a water sports centre, a sailing academy, and facilities for deep sea fishing, golf and polo.
