Dubai, UAE 5 February 2009- BT Middle East announced today further enhancement of its consulting services by becoming certified to provide security assessments according to the Payment Cards Industry (PCI) standards.

The PCI is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures, used by companies storing personal account information.

This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data. BT obtained Qualified Security Assessor certificate for Central Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

The PCI standards was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council in order to promote adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis.
