Dubai 24th April 2007, The glamour and romance of diamonds lit up the recent wedding celebrations of Bollywood's leading lady Aishwarya Rai.

"There is a kind of depth to a diamond which no other stone has. Diamonds are classy yet simple - and the statement they make is one of dignity and grace," said Aishwarya. "How can any woman resist the combination of permanence, femininity and elegance?"

On April 20 2007, she married Abhishek Bachchan in a private ceremony, which has been described as the country's biggest wedding and began in the streets of Mumbai with fireworks and lights.

A brand ambassador for DTC (Diamond Trading Company), the sales and marketing arm of the De Beers Group, Aishwarya has appeared in numerous advertising campaigns for DTC and her recent wedding gave her the opportunity to put in to use the DTC's Bridal diamond jewellery sets.
