Business intelligence software to be available to employees, enterprise wide
Dubai, UAE, September 6, 2005: Cognos, (NASDAQ: COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business intelligence (BI) and corporate performance management, has signed a multi-year agreement with The Boeing Company.
The global manufacturer will use Cognos' enterprise business intelligence solution, including Cognos ReportNet, to provide common business reporting. The Cognos solution, part of an enterprise-wide business intelligence initiative, will be utilised within Boeing commercial airplanes, integrated defense systems, shared services group, and Connexion by BoeingSM. UAE-based airline Emirates is one of Boeing's largest regional customers and recently ordered 30 commercial 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircrafts. It will be one of the world's largest operators of airplanes in Boeing's 777 family.
