Dubai, UAE; March 4, 2012: Business leaders in the UAE will be able to learn that companies in the Middle East can still generate profitable growth without competing. This is the idea behind Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) which will be conducted on Tuesday, March 6, by Middle East Management Centre (MEMC) at the Shangri-La Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The Trainer, John Riker, Managing Director of the Blue Ocean Strategy-Initiative Centre, will conduct an executive workshop based on the book "Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make Competition Irrelevant" written by W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne. The authors developed a systematic approach to making the competition irrelevant and outlined the principles and tools any company can use to create and capture blue oceans. The strategy is the result of a decade-long study of 150 strategic moves spanning more than 30 industries over 100 years.
In this one-day BOS executive workshop, participants will be able to understand how they can break away from the competition by following a rigorous and systematic process to create and capture high-growth and profitable new markets.
John Riker has led BOS initiatives in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, across industries as diverse as media, food and beverages, pharmaceutical, telecoms, industrial ceramics and financial services.
