BenQ, an internationally-renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and global DLP® education projector leader, is at the forefront of providing a complete suite of new generation interactive classroom solutions in the Middle East with the launch of BenQ Classroom IQ.
"BenQ as a brand ensures that its products bring a higher level of productivity, efficiency, simplicity and enjoyment to classroom instructors, IT managers and school administrators in the region," said Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East. "The latest BenQ Classroom IQ, consists of innovative software and hardware, enables versatile ways of teaching and learning among multiple devices yet easy to set up, enjoyable to use and require minimum maintenance."
The BenQ Classroom IQ uses developed tools designed to support classroom instruction and management with multiple electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops. Among these tools include the QDraw 3.0 Interactive Software and App that enable teachers to present and annotate on any teaching materials ranging from Word, PowerPoint, PDF or webpages, working across all platforms including Windows, Mac and Linux.
It is also powered with the new Presenter Mode that allows teachers to present from anywhere in the room, or access and control from the desktop. The new Collaboration Mode also enables collaborative learning by connecting all devices to share annotations, view another's screen or pass control to different participants.
Through the BenQ Classroom IQ, students and teachers are offered with another way to share various files through the QPresenter 2.0 software and App. The new version supports a wide range of document and image files and enables virtual keypad control on tablets for ease of use.
Built-in cameras in smart phones and tablets can also be used as document cameras to project images captured onto the projection screen. The inclusion of USB reader and Office Viewer allows for PC-less presentation possible by simply presenting the files with simple plug and play.
The BenQ Classroom IQ also features an upgraded PointDraw 3.0 remote control technology by adding Gyro Sensor and Accelerometer for pixel accuracy and responsive writing speed for more fluid writing experience. Teachers and students can collaborate simultaneously using the Dual Pen feature, offering up to 20 hours of long lasting performance.
Another solution offered by BenQ is the PointWrite device, an 80FPS sensor attached to the lens of the projector to detect IR beams emitted from the PointWrite pen. This solution supports auto calibration and rapid writing response time enabling multi-writing of up to 4 pens, giving groups of students to participate in activities such as problem solving and spelling games.
BenQ has also introduced a 2nd generation S30 document camera with a new ID design and improved features. The S30 includes higher image quality and constant zoom performance with 40x zoom (5 optical zoom x 8 optical zoom), a laser position light, and card reader function.
All projectors included in the Classroom IQ features the SmartEco technology that automatically adjust the lamp power between 100 per cent and 30 per cent based on the amount of brightness required by the output content. The SmartEco Advanced Mode that reduces power consumption by up to 90 per cent is available in BenQ's BlueCore projector models.
Another feature present in the projectors is the Eco Blank Mode that allows teachers to blank the projection screen when the projector is not in use. When activated, the Eco Blank Mode dims the lamp power automatically, cutting 70% of the total power consumption.
