New High-End Distribution Agreement to Boost Sales across the UAE

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - BenQ, the region's leader in digital lifestyle products, has announced a pioneering distribution partnership to enhance its high-end digital camera sales across the UAE.

To stay ahead of fierce competition in the market, BenQ has concluded an agreement with Eros group, a customer-orientated consumer electronics distributor with 300 dealers across the UAE. BenQ management is confident that Eros' expertise will cement the popularity of its digital innovations across the Emirates.

"Dubai Summer Surprises is currently in full flow, and millions of UAE residents are currently preparing for their summer holidays. BenQ's high-quality cameras ensure perfect, crystal-clear capture of the spectacular events UAE travellers will experience this summer," said Robert Dung, BenQ's managing director, Middle East and Africa.

"Eros Group has forged a glowing reputation across the UAE in recognition of its detailed knowledge of the consumer industry, and for the range of products it promotes. We are proud to be associated with such a prestigious partner," Dung added.

Eros will distribute BenQ's digital cameras across the UAE, with a wide lineup of models such as the E40, E41, S40, C51, E53, E510, E520, C520 & C60. All models are tailored to the huge amounts of consumers who are visiting spectacular summer events in the UAE, and taking in stunning vistas on overseas trips and have very competitive price range, starting from as low as Dhs.539 up to Dhs.999.

The E510 carries a focus length of 17.4 mm, ensuring minute details are snatched in perfect detail, while its LCD display, forced flash and movie mode facilitate the clear, continuous recording which high-end consumers demand.

The E520 offers 32 megabytes of storage, ensuring UAE customers can take vast amounts of photos in search of the perfect snapshot, can focus on objects just 50 centimetres away and, at 130 grams, and is light enough for holidaymakers to carry on the most picturesque of trips.

BenQ is set to benefit from Eros' 30 years' experience as a distributor of high-quality consumer goods. Eros has earned a reputation for excellence across a huge variety of products, having sold everything from LCD screens to washing machines. Eros adds significant value to its partners by providing secondary services such as home delivery, installation, and connection to other entertainment devices in the home.

This year, Eros has hosted high-level sales promotions and partnerships with media outlets such as City FM, and its partnership with BenQ, a company which has won 64 design awards in the past three years, will bring creativity from both ends.

"BenQ is renowned for its ability to keep designing new, high-quality products to refresh the market, and this represents an ideal challenge for us. Other partners might find it difficult to keep up with BenQ's constant innovation, but Eros matches that ambition, and our ever-evolving distribution approach will keep pace with BenQ's conveyor belt of quality new products," said Deepak J. Babani, CEO of Eros group.

"This partnership is ideally-timed to provide a photographic solution for millions of UAE residents in time for the summer holidays," Robert Dung continued. "Our digital cameras are designed to last, and are extremely reasonably priced compared to their counterparts in the leading-edge camera market. They provide a perfect companion for the busy summer months."
