Al Aqili Furnishings' lighting division one of the biggest exhibitors
BeLight, the lighting division of Al Aqili Furnishings (AAF) is set to be one of the largest exhibitors at this year's Light Show Middle East exhibition. The show will allow visitors to witness the world's latest intelligent lighting systems from BeLight, and is being held from the 13-15th May at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC).
The 1550 square foot stand will showcase the latest residential, commercial and architectural lighting products, as well as demonstrating the newest lighting solutions, by bringing a fusion of classical and contemporary designs from world renowned brands.
"Extensive research has been done by our suppliers to address emerging trends such as environmental impact, energy conservation and the use of technologically advanced lighting systems," said Rudie Hoess, General Manager, BeLight.
"These efforts have resulted in the reduction of products that emit Incandescent Light (yellow light), of which 80% of the energy used to power it is wasted on unwanted heat emission. This problem has been overcome with the use of alternative light solutions such as LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting and Intensive Light (white light) products that are more energy efficient, produce very little heat and can be integrated into technologically advanced systems with ease."
Within a short period of time BeLight has secured some of the world's major international brands in the industry, such as; SLV -a German based company, and world renowned supplier of contemporary lighting systems; Traxon - a German-headquartered manufacturer known for its specialist Moodlight® range and Quasar - the Dutch specialist design lighting company.
BeLight is currently working in conjunction with Al Aqili Future Technologies, another division of Al Aqili Group, on developing the intelligent light range - a full range of lighting solutions controlled by computers and micro-processors - that can be integrated into any residential or commercial project. The light can be altered so that intensity and colour can be controlled to provide the perfect ambience.
Software can be used in the advanced systems so that users can create light settings that will automatically change depending on the programming, or can be adjusted manually through control devices.
The newest light technology that is available from BeLight is the 'Light Space' system, which is capable of changing the internal dynamics of a room by projecting light controlled virtual space.
This new technology is a fusion of architecture and lighting science and works by projecting external scenes such as landscapes and skylines within the room, subsequently creating a seemingly endless space.
Light plays an integral role in enhancing any area. It can be used to emphasize architectural features and hide undesired sections, whilst increasing the functionality of any space.
Both colour and temperature affect the ambience of a space, and now that lighting systems are so advanced it is possible to alter the atmosphere of a room by changing the colour of the lighting to have the same effect as re-decorating a room with art or static colour using paint, without the negative effects of high heat emissions.
"We are no longer restricted as light solutions can be used to change the mood of a room instantly to suit any and all tastes," added Hoess.
