Dubai, UAE: Following a strategic decision to strengthen its Middle East & African operations, Beko has appointed Kürşat Coşkun as Regional Director and Head of the GCC, Middle East, Africa, Near East and Turkic Republics.

With over 20 years with Arcelik A.S., Beko’s parent company, Mr. Coşkun brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role, including a strong track record of driving profitable growth and maximizing business efficiencies in the home appliances industry on a global level.

Mr. Coşkun previously held roles as the General Manager for Beko in China, where he played a key role in Beko’s success, achieving consistent growth in each year of his tenure. Most recently he held the position of General Manager for Elektrabregenz in Austria, where he was responsible for doubling the turnover to achieve a top 3 group market share position.

Mr. Coşkun will lead Beko’s expansion in the GCC by increasing Beko’s product portfolio to cover all home appliances and promoting smart, green, cutting-edge technology home solutions.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Coşkun said: “There is a strong opportunity for Beko to replicate the success achieved in my previous markets in the GCC region, where the consumer appliance sector in the UAE, for example, increase around 20% in 2017, driven by large domestic appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators.”
