Beiersdorf AG – trademark owners of the famous NIVEA brand is aligning its creative design activities with their global advertising agency TBWA for the Middle East region. This strategic move will become effective from January 1, 2004.
Bernd Schwache, Regional Director for the Middle East said: “In line with our global advertising strategy, TBWA will be responsible from 2004, for only the creative activities in order to gain synergies from our global association with TBWA.”
He added: “Our service from Fortune Promoseven over the past 20 years has been outstanding, and our brand would not have grown without their dedication, investment and hard work during this period.”
On a very important note, Bernd explains: “Our support from Fortune Promoseven has been so outstanding and their service in the Middle East so comprehensive, that we will continue our media buying, below-the-line activities and public relations campaigns with Fortune Promoseven.”
Beiersdorf AG is therefore adopting a marketing strategy to get the best from both worlds in using successful powerful global campaigns, but using the expertise of their local agency to ensure good communication and implementation of regionalized activities.
