BDO Bahrain held an IFRS training workshop from 4th to 5th January 2009 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Manama for all audit staff members from its offices in Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.  The two day workshop covered major International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards in addition to accounting, auditing, and government standards for Islamic financial institutions.  The training also provided an overview of Bahrain Commercial Companies Law, Disclosure standards of Central Bank of Bahrain and Bahrain Stock Exchange rules.  The audit partners, directors and managers from BDO Bahrain and BDO Qatar led the training with more than 40 staff members attending.
