New season trends underline the brand's renewed focus on the region

In a media preview that showcased Bata's new season collection, UAE's fashion journalists were treated to new trends en vogue for the coming cooler months at a footwear fashion show held today.

Describing the collection, Tamlin Martini, Brand Manager, Bata said: "This season is about absolute comfort and ultra luxury.  Trends lean towards the romantic, with soft and feminine touches to offset the addition of hardware and military inspired looks.  60's, Boho, Utilitarian and Equestrian influences abound.  It's all about feeling good...body, mind and soul!   A combination of fabrics, cuts and colours and defined layering with ultra-luxurious textures is what this season is all about.  It's time for pure indulgence!"

The event kicked off with Tamlin introducing the collection with an engaging presentation, which placed the footwear in 'storylines' scenarios in daily lives that brought to the fore key features of the footwear as well as the dominant trends of the season. A footwear fashion show followed with models walking the ramp for a live presentation of the new season collection.

The fashion show: The trends featured at the fashion show included this Autumn / Winter's hottest styles.

From open ladies' heels in glittering party-wear dominated by metallic shades of silver, gold and coppers to closed mid-high work-friendly slip-ons with seamed detailing; from the equestrian-styled riding boots to pure cowgirl pointy Texans in browns and beiges; from platforms which have made a strong comeback in suede and mixed textures to metal and stone studded sandals, the range is representative of the season's characteristic versatility.

The show also featured the brands formidable influence on men's wardrobes this season. Particularly noteworthy were the return of the re-invented brogue, the two-tone distressed boots with plenty of handwork and several fresh innovations in formals, including seams, patches and other detailing while preserving the classical silhouettes.  The Arabic sandals gave a nice regional twist to the collection. The show also featured Bata's motorcycling jackets, belts and bags, accessorizing the outfits to complete the total look.
