Banque Centrale Populaire, one of Morocco's foremost and leading banks has been selected as Mediterranean Bank Network's member bank in Morocco. MBN has a 'One Bank per country Principle', meaning that Banque Centrale Populaire is its sole Moroccan member bank. The selection was based on ongoing collaboration with MBN members and conforming to MBN membership credentials that including excellent repute and high ranking.  Banque Centrale Populaire has a large international network with subsidiary offices and branches in France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, UK, Canada, Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Guinea and the Central African Republic.

Banque Centrale Populaire was formally introduced as a member bank at the Mediterranean Bank Network Business Meeting held recently in Paris at MBN member bank BPCE.

Mediterranean Bank Network is a non-profit banking organisation and strategic partnership between leading Mediterranean banks. The Network's major objective is the strategic collaboration between its members in all areas, the reinforcement of their relationships and contributes to the internationalisation of banks and economies in the Mediterranean. Membership is exclusive to one bank per country.

Mediterranean Bank Network is soon to celebrate its fifteenth year since its inception in 1996.  The Network was established in November 1996 one year after and as a direct result of the 1995 Barcelona Declaration. Founding members include Bank of Valletta (Malta) and Nova Ljubljanska Banka (Slovenia)
