Secondary School Students learn about the world's first state-of-the-art innovative commercial development as part of their curriculum
Manama, Bahrain 26 December 2012: The Bahrain World Trade Center (BWTC), Bahrain's iconic landmark, recently hosted a group of 55 students from the 12th grade at the Modern Knowledge School. During the visit, the BWTC facility management team welcomed the students and took them in a tour around the development and explained the building's architect and wind energy technology system. The visit was initiated to add a practical element to their education on architecture and sustainable designs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The students were provided with an overview of how sustainability has been successfully incorporated into the twin tower design, utilizing the three 29-meter diameter wind turbines mounted on horizontal-axes.
The BWTC is a mixed use development in the Kingdom of Bahrain that houses state-of-the-art towers designed for commercial use. It is also at the forefront of sustainable development in the Kingdom with the first ever integrated wind turbine power generating capability.
