Beirut: The American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Fund for French Nationals Abroad (La Caisse des Français de l'Etranger CFE). This agreement allows French nationals in Lebanon who are registered with the CFE to benefit from the health coverage provided by the Social Security Fund for Expatriates, in exchange for the healthcare services that AUBMC will provide.

The Medical Center confirmed that this agreement has become effective from the 1st of January 2021, and that all French nationals registered with the fund can benefit from full health coverage at AUBMC. The Medical Center Director, Mr. Joseph Otayek, said: “We are delighted to sign this agreement and cooperate with the Fund, for what it offers to French nationals in Lebanon. It is an opportunity for expatriates to obtain a full health coverage and benefit from the Medical Center’s distinguished services.”

In line with this commitment, AUBMC will offer a free upgrade from second to first class coverage to all the French expatriates registered with CFE in Lebanon for the first 2 months of the year, in a step aiming at encouraging them to benefit from the health services and specialized care provided by the center in all fields. This step comes within the framework of the Medical Center's vision and strategy to extend its services to all groups and citizens.
