The global MBA accreditation agency launched these member events in November this year to provide MBA students and graduates with insight and topical knowledge from business leaders and industry experts and to offer them the opportunity to build their contacts and networks with other MBA students and alumni in their region and internationally.

The keynote speaker at the Dubai evening event (20.30 - 22.30) is Ziad Makhzoumi, Chief Financial Officer of Arabtec Holding, who holds an MBA from Manchester Business School. He will give an insightful speech on the future of the Middle East markets post financial crisis, the possible impact of the Eurozone crisis and the influence of the strong Chinese and Indian economies. Dr Ayoub Kazim Managing Director, Education Cluster - TECOM Investments, will deliver the welcome note at the event.

Dr. Kazim, said: "This event is conceived as a platform for MBAs to come together to realise their personal and career goals through a two-way dialogue with business leaders. This approach is aligned with the objectives of the TECOM Education Cluster to develop human capital in the UAE and the region. Currently, there are 27 university campuses within Dubai International Academic City. A selection of these universities offers 26 Master-level programmes in business.

Ms Randa Bessiso, Director Middle East at Manchester Business School, which has built a community of over 1,000 MBA students and 800 alumni over five years in the region, added: "MBS is one of the very few schools enjoying triple MBA accreditation and we are very pleased that AMBA has recognized the region's emerging significance for business education by hosting its first regional event in Dubai. It reflects the fact that some of the world's leading business schools are now well established in Dubai - the region's education hub - and are playing a significant role here."

The Association of MBAs accreditation service upholds the highest international standards of MBA programmes. Established in 1967, it is the international impartial authority on postgraduate business education. There are 187 business schools in over 70 countries with programmes accredited by the Association of MBAs. Its membership network currently includes 9,000 subscribing members living in 88 countries.
