Arc Worldwide is recognized for its work on the website for Sony High Definition Quality by an internationally renowned award

Dubai, UAE 23 November 2006 - Arc Worldwide has won at this year's Interactive Media Awards (IMA) for their website for Sony High Definition Quality: http://www.sony-mea.com/hd/.  The website won for the "Retail" category.  Since 2002, the IMA has been one of the most prestigious awards for website development in the world.

The IMA recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement.  Created by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, the competition is designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet and offer winners a boost in marketing and exposure. 

To win the IMA, Arc's Sony website underwent a rigorous review by the council's comprehensive judging system.  Judges are drawn from many major multinational corporations including American Express, Bearingpoint and Microsoft.  Websites are scored on a points based system with a maximum score of 500 possible.  Arc's Sony website scored 484 points, nearly a perfect score.

The website for Sony High Definition Quality is a complete interactive experience for users who log onto it.  In order to adequately showcase the powerful and advanced technology behind Sony High Definition Quality video and televisions, the website had to achieve the highest graphics quality possible.  The website's illustrations and design were required to illustrate not only the best in visual technology, but to be appealing to the eyes of consumers.  The IMA validates much of the effort of Arc. 

"One of the challenges in the creation of a commercial website that is meant to illustrate a high quality visual experience is that we enable the website to work on screens that don't necessarily have this high level of technology," said Sara Anani - Creative Director of Arc.  "Our team here worked hard to overcome this obstacle, and the IMA reflects our success in accomplishing that."

This is not the only recognition of Arc Worldwide's Dubai Affiliate's work on the Sony High Definition Quality website.  Recently Arc was nominated for an award by the esteemed Cresta Awards also due to the company's same efforts for Sony. Sony was a FINALIST at the 2006 Cresta Awards.
