Tuesday, March 26, 2013: Applikable Technologies LLC - a Jordan-based smartphone application development firm - launched a partnership with the Zarqa University. In this partnership, Applikable Technologies will be developing a multi-stakeholder Smartphone application for Cross platforms (iOS, Android,BlackBerry,Simbian nokia phones,Windows and Java) within six weeks.

Through the "ZU App" Zarqa University in Jordan aims to expand its outreach to engage more stakeholders such as organizations, volunteers, university students, and the alumni of Zarqa University. Furthermore, by developing this smartphone application, Zarqa University would be recognized as the first University in MENA region present in to obtain such technology.

Mr. Ali A. Smadi, the Head of Technical Development at Applikable Technologies stated: "As a French Graduate in Jordan myself and as a corporate sector representative, I deeply believe in impact that Zarqa University has been creating in the development of youth Education/leadership since 1994. Therefore, it brings me and my company a great pleasure to help more and take part in the great work they do".

From his end, Mr. Moh'd Rafiq Zabian, Managing Director of Applikable technologies stated: "University students often lack the know-how to manage their time and keep track of all information relevant to their academic lives, which often reflects on the lack of focus, poor schedule management, and poor communication between the student and the different university sections, ZU App is a mobile application that enables students to be one-click-away from freely accessing their academic information while being on the go, the application is a time-effective, and user friendly solution that provides students with convenient access to several university resources online, when, where and how they want to get it, so that students can have all of university's services in hand at all times.

The partnership was launched recently at University Campus with the presence of number of Media Executives', Professors and The bored Members of Zarqa University.

Applikable Technologies LLC is software development firm based in Jordan focused on the development of smartphone applications. The award-winning company was founded in April of 2012 and shortly after it was named as the youngest enterprise in Arabia to issue a Corporate Responsibility policy. In September 2012, Applikable Technologies won the Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition and the Intel Levant Challenge for its first product "UniApp" which is the first multi-lingual smartphone application for Arab universities.

The Zarqa University was established in 1994, six kilometers east of Zarqa city on an area of 350 acres. It has developed in size and reputation and become one of the best, not only in this country but also in the whole region . Due to its good academic reputation, Zarqa University has established significant relations with other academic institutions and met the needs of the society in a creative manner as His Majesty King Abdullah The Second meant it to be.

Zarqa University is determined to promote the administration of institutions, human resources, research and teaching in various fields of arts and social sciences. Thus, many dedicated experts of various fields are working in it. Students of 60 nationalities have joined the university. Moreover, about 50 academic conferences have been convened in the university.
