Friday, November 30, 2012: Applikable Technologies LLC - a Jordan-based smartphone application development firm - launched a partnership with the Jordan chapter of the world's largest youth-run organization "AIESEC". In this partnership, Applikable Technologies will be developing a multi-stakeholder smartphone application for iOS and Android platforms within six weeks.
Through the "AIESEC Jordan App" AIESEC in Jordan aims to expand its outreach to engage more stakeholders such as organizations, volunteers, university students, and the alumni of AIESEC in Jordan. Furthermore, by developing this smartphone application, AIESEC in Jordan would be recognized as the first committee of the 113 countries AIESEC is globally present in to obtain such technology.
Mr. Zaid Al Bitar, the Head of Business Strategy at Applikable Technologies stated: "As an alumnus of AIESEC in Jordan myself and as a corporate sector representative, I deeply believe in impact that AIESEC in Jordan has been creating in the development of youth leadership since 2007. Therefore, it brings me and my company a great pleasure to help more young people, fellow alumni and organizations in Jordan to connect with AIESEC and take part in the great work they do".
From his end, Mr. Vaibhav Sharma, President of AIESEC in Jordan stated: "With this application we can reach out to more people and impact them with the work we do. It will also help us to have conversations and forums through which we can inform and engage people in the issues which are at present affecting the nation such as Sustainability, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.
The partnership was launched recently at AIESEC Jordan's National Conference held at the Olive Branch Hotel in Jerash with the presence of 100 members and alumni and partners of AIESEC in Jordan.
Applikable Technologies LLC is software development firm based in Jordan focused on the development of smartphone applications. The award-winning company was founded in April of 2012 and shortly after it was named as the youngest enterprise in Arabia to issue a Corporate Responsibility policy. In September 2012, Applikable Technologies won the Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition and the Intel Levant Challenge for its first product "UniApp" which is the first multi-lingual smartphone application for Arab universities.
AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run organization, present in 113 countries and in over 1700 universities and have over 80,000 members worldwide. AIESEC in Jordan was founded in 2006 under the name of and currently it is present in 3 cities and over 7 universities in Jordan providing internship and leadership opportunities for young university students.
