Amana pledges its support for the "Clean Up the world 2006" in Dubai

23rd November 2006: Amana Contracting and Steel Buildings has pledged it's support for the Dubai  version of "Clean Up the World 2006", an environmental  initiative by the Dubai Municipality.

About 25 employees of Amana from a variety of roles from labour to office and managerial staff, will be taking part in this initiative tomorrow.  They will clean up areas of Dubai and Al Quoz, wearing specially created white overalls to show their support for the cause. They will clean up the areas allocated to them by the Dubai Municipality, and will move from one place to another in a specially liveried bus which will help create awareness of the projects and the need to keep Dubai clean.

The decision to support the event was taken unanimously by the Amana Labour Committee," said Ghada Nohra, personnel manager of Amana's Dubai office. "All levels of Amana employees will take part in this initiative.  We will have representatives of all of levels of Amana's employees from labourers to management working side by side, shoulder to shoulder to create a better Dubai. This is the core message of this exercise." she added.

Mr. Jihad Bsaibes, General Manager Dubai Office said, "Amana has a long association with the UAE and especially Dubai. I feel it is good to work together with all levels of Amana' s employees to demonstrate Amana's support to 'The Clean Up Dubai 2006' cause". 

"It is time to give back to the city which has given us so much,"  Mr. Bsaibes added.
