Al Reem Island development brings more than 3,500 new homes to the Shams Abu Dhabi community

Phased handover to ensure seamless delivery of units

Abu Dhabi, 19 November 2013: Aldar Properties PJSC, Abu Dhabi's leading listed property development, investment, and management company announces today the phased handover to owners of the Gate Towers in Abu Dhabi - an award-winning mixed-use development at the heart of Shams Abu Dhabi on Al Reem Island.

The Gate Towers is made up of 3,533 units and include studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments as well as, townhouses and penthouses with panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and Abu Dhabi skyline. Designed by Amercian architects Arquitectonica to create a welcoming yet imposing gateway to the larger development of Shams Abu Dhabi, the Gate Towers mimics historically prominent structures such as England's Stonehenge and Greece's Pantheon. The series of residential towers act as pillars supporting a sky bridge that spans between each of the towers.

The project joins Aldar's Sun & Sky Towers on Shams Abu Dhabi, which are home to more than 1,000 families and businesses, and include Abu Dhabi's first Waitrose Supermarket. The Gate Towers offers a range of amenities for residents including a leisure podium with swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, children's play areas, day care centre, prayer rooms, recreational rooms, and much more. Residents at The Gate Towers will have easy access to established retail outlets in Sun & Sky Towers until BOUTIK Gate Towers opens next year.

Leasing began in November and residents have now begun to move into their new homes. Owners and tenants can contact Aldar's customer service center at 800-ALDAR (25327) for any enquiries regarding the handover process or leasing.
