Alcatel-Lucent will be participating, for the first time, in the QITCOM conference and exhibition beginning 24 May 2011. The company will be demonstrating its latest innovations in networking, voice and multimedia technologies. This will include the new Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch™ converged multimedia communications suite that helps turn enterprise communications into collaborative conversations and business services.
Alcatel-Lucent will be demonstrating how its Application Fluent Networks and OpenTouch solutions bring applications such as video to any user, anywhere, on any device, including the latest tablets and smartphones. The company will also showcase the revolutionary "smart deskphone", the Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch 8082 My IC Phone. My IC Phone delivers a multimedia communication experience to the desktop by bringing together enterprise reliability, security and high-quality audio with immediate access to a range of employee and customer applications. For example, employees can leverage the phone's intuitive 'touchpad' screen to immediately bring other people into a multi-party conference session or access applications and information to speed the decision-making process.
In addition to participating in the exhibition, Alcatel-Lucent's Gabrielle Gauthey, Senior VP Public Affairs, will be discussing Fiber to the Home (FTTH) opportunities in the GCC. Philippe Cros, Regional Director, GCC region for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise will be available to meet with customers and discuss solutions that will help enterprises in Qatar maximise their return on investment.
