Alba is a sponsor of His Majesty King Hamad Horserace Championship - to be held at the Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club in Sakhir on Friday, March 16, 2012.
The event is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Alba has been always a supporter to Bahrain's equestrian tradition and sporting heritage.
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)'s sponsorship support for His Majesty King Hamad Horserace Championship to be held at the Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club in Sakhir on Friday, March 16, 2012 presents tangible demonstration of the company's backing for promoting Bahrain's equestrian tradition.
Hailed as the most prestigious event during the annual horseracing season, His Majesty King Hamad Horserace Championship Cup will feature four races that will have both Arabian and locally bred horses competing for the prizes.
Commenting on Alba's support for this event, the Chairman of Alba's Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji said:

Alba has been a supporter of equestrian events in the forty years since the company was established.
During the current season, the company presented the coveted Alba Trophy to winners of the race that took place at the Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club on January 13. Alba had also sponsored the Khalid bin Hamad Endurance Horseride Championship Cup which included a paralympic ride for those with special needs.
