"Distinguished employees contributed effectively in building the image of Al Qasba", says Marwan Al Sarkal

Sharjah, April 29th 2009: In a move to express appreciation to the efforts and achievements of Al Qasba Development Authority's employees, the 'Talent Center Division' at Al Qasba has recently announced the winners of the 'Employee of the Year' award. The ceremony, which was held at Al Qasba recently, included many activities and was launched as part of Al Qasba's continuous efforts to support and encourage the employees.

During the ceremony, Mr. Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of Al Qasba Development Authority and Mrs. Reem Al Badran, Director of Talent Centre, handed the awards to Ms. Hamda Al Abdooli, Government Relations Manager, Ms. Ayah Mohammed Sarraj, Public Relations & Media Coordinator and Mr. Mohammed Ali from the Customer Service division, who was awarded for the category of the outstanding employee of the Etisalat-Eye of the Emirates.

Commenting on the award ceremony, Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of Al Qasba Development Authority, said:

"We at Al Qasba Development Authority believe in our employees and we aim at developing their skills bearing in mind their sincere efforts and achievements. Hence we have launched the "Employee of the Year Award" in order to motivate our employees towards excellence in performance and strong team-work spirit."

Awarded for her excellent performance, Ms. Ayah Mohammed Saraj said:

"Being awarded as the Employee of the Year has been a very pleasant surprise indeed, especially as I was kept in the dark until the announcements were made. After four years at Al Qasba, I believe I have grown along with the destination. I am honored for being chosen for this award, which I would love to share with my colleagues in appreciation for their constant support and efforts."

The ceremony included Ice-breakers, team-building activities that were led by the Dubai Drums, and witnessed the participation of all employees of Al Qasba. The event started at 11:00 am where the employees discussed their experiences during their work period in Al Qasba. After that, a video about various gatherings in the previous years was displayed and followed by a lunch gathering. In addition, the employees enjoyed various activities aimed at excelling their knowledge, team spirit and leadership.
