Latest praise in recognition of company's dynamic marketing campaign

DUBAI: Al Islami Foods, the foremost provider of quality 'Halal' products in the Middle East, received the award for 'Most Creative Marketing Campaign' at the recently held 'Halal Journal Awards, 2006'. The awards organized by the publishers of 'The Halal Journal', celebrated success and innovation in the emerging market of Halal foods.

According to Mustafa Jassem, Demand Manager at Al Islami Foods, who received the award on behalf of the company, "We at Al Islami appreciate this award as recognition of our commitment to delivering better products to our customers. As Al Islami becomes a global brand in the Halal foods industry, we are looking forward to meeting the challenges posed in an increasingly competitive market by conducting new and innovative promotional campaigns."

Al Islami, an established market leader with decades of experience in the production of Halal food products in the GCC region, was lauded for its ambitious corporate re-branding campaign.

Praising Al Islami's selection for the award, Jumaatun Azmi, Editor of 'The Halal Journal' said, "The judges at the 'Halal Journal Awards' have acknowledged Al Islami's leadership in using traditional Arab and Islamic values in a contemporary, exclusive and stylish manner that will gain universal appeal. Their corporate re-branding campaign, drawn from the many high profile initiatives already launched, set new standards in marketing Halal foods."

The award, which further proves the success of Al Islami's unique and dynamic marketing strategy, also brings new challenges for the company in the form of higher expectations from its customers.

The 'Halal Journal Awards', the only awards ceremony dedicated to recognizing milestones in the Halal industry, covered various categories and were presented during a Gala Dinner at the World Halal Forum. With the growing importance of 'The Halal Journal' as a discussion forum for issues facing the industry, these awards have become a coveted recognition of corporate achievement in the Halal foods industry.

About Al Islami Foods
Established as CO-OP ISLAMI in 1981 to satisfy the growing demand for real Halal food in the Arab world, AL ISLAMI FOODS was formed as a result of the long relentless efforts commenced in the early seventies when Hajj Saeed Bin Ahmad Lootah instituted Dubai Co-operative Society. Starting with its successful frozen chicken product line, AL ISLAMI FOODS expanded its operations to include mutton and beef.

In 1991, Dubai Co-operative Society's efforts were culminated by establishing its "CO-OP ISLAMI" meat processing plant in Jebel Ali Free Zone. This plant is considered a recognizable breakthrough as it became the real producer of a variety of food products under the name "CO-OP ISLAMI", after being produced outside the country on its behalf. AL ISLAMI FOODS products are considered as quality benchmark trusted by consumers across the UAE and the GCC, and this has made it one of the best and most preferred brands in the region.
