USD 200,000 donations of KFH employees in Al-Kheir portfolio
The Chairman of the Provident Fund for Kuwait Finance House (KFH) employees Shaheen Al-Ghanem announced that the fund, through Al-Kheir portfolio, managed to execute 5 charitable projects in 3 Islamic countries, which are building a mosque, offering breakfast for the fasting Muslims, and a Quran recitation center in Bangladesh, in addition to establishing a computer lab in a cultural center that teaches Shariah for women in Bosnia, setting up a clinic in China, and a dental clinic in Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Gaza in Palestine.
Moreover, he explained that the donations collected for those projects reached around USD 200,000 through Al-Kheir portfolio that was set up in 2006, and said that the projects will continue during the coming period to cement KFH's charitable role that began since the launching of KFH. He stressed that the portfolio encourages the employees to donate, and seizes the opportunity of being in Ramadan to collect donations to start projects in underdeveloped countries. He mentioned that the fund supervises every project it launches through its portfolio until it is complete, and then hands over the project to its beneficiaries in those countries.
Furthermore, Al-Ghanem praised the employees for continuously participating and making donations in the portfolio's projects, which reveals the portfolio's success in making charity part of their lives. He also applauded the support of KFH's management in making the fund a huge success.
