Platinum sponsor to spearhead positive changes in home intelligent systems' industry

Dubai, May 13, 2008: Al-Futtaim Electronics (AFE), a member of Al-Futtaim Group, is expected to roll out rich positives for the GCC consumer electronics and intelligent home systems during the International CES/Hometech exhibition.

AFE also announced it will be the platinum sponsor and the largest exhibitor of the globally renowned event to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 25 to 27, 2008.

AFE is the first international affiliate of the Consumer Electronics Association of the USA (CEA) in the UAE. CEA is a trade organisation that unites 2,200 companies within the consumer technology industry in the United States.

The iHOME located in Hall 2 will feature best-in-class products from Panasonic, Toshiba, Sanyo, Aftron and Control 4.

In addition Techserve, AFE's one-stop-shop for electronics service and systems integration needs, will conduct intensive industry training for sales and service personnel in order to help strengthen skills and knowledge for registered attendees and participants at the exhibition.

This exclusive training will be held in association with CompTIA, the world's largest developer of vendor-neutral IT certification exams and a business partner of CEA. The training and course material will be provided by Bedrock, a globally recognised leader in residential technology training and business support products.

International CES/Hometech, organised by Messe Frankfurt, is the only trade fair in the MENA to showcase the latest products in white and brown goods of home entertainment, home automation, home networking, mobile entertainment and domestic devices. This is the second year the event is being held in Dubai.
