Kuwait Finance House (KFH) AGM for Banking Sector Mohammed Al-Fouzan asserted that KFH focuses on small and medium projects, and hoped that small projects would become main pillars in the national economy; especially that such projects have numerous benefits for the individual, the society, and the economy. He added during his opening speech of the small and medium projects conference that was attended by Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Planning and Development Affairs Fadel Safar that KFH priorities small Kuwaiti projects managed by youths, because it believes that major economies are built on small projects. He explained that such projects accomplish several positive goals, such as creating job opportunities for youths and limits excess employees at the government sector. It also steers the society towards actual production and real economy.
Moreover, Al-Fouzan mentioned that supporting youths and developing their skills are one of KFH's main social responsibility objectives, where it offers a bouquet of commercial, investment, and financing services and products for the owners of small and medium projects. Such products and services designed for youths allow them to meet their financial requirements according to rules and regulations. He said that KFH has been keen during the past period to take part in numerous exhibitions and forums regarding small projects. He went on to say that the government sector is not the only source for recruiting youths, and stressed that the private sector must not shoulder additional responsibilities concerning the recruitment of youths, since there are other fields that are being overlooked. He underlined the fact that youths can setup and develop their projects.
In addition, Al-Fouzan applauded the law that has been issued recently in collaboration with the government and the National Assembly concerning small and medium projects. He considered this legislation a golden opportunity for people who have small projects that need funding.
