Abu Dhabi - ADNOC Distribution recently opened the Mahawi North service station, located in the Mahawi area on the Abu Dhabi – Al Ain highway. This new addition takes the total number of stations in Abu Dhabi city and its suburbs to 98 service station and 10 ADNOC Xpress.
Throughout 6 islands and 12 dispensers; Mahawi service station will offer its customers with an around-clock conventional refueling services of fuel; E-Plus 91, special 95 and Super 98 as well as Green Diesel. In the future, the station will add natural gas for vehicles (NGV) facilities.
Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: "The opening of these two new service stations represents the latest stage in ADNOC Distribution’s overall expansion strategy aimed at meeting growing energy demand from various sectors in the UAE.”
"Since the beginning of 2017, we have opened 22 new stations out of the 35 scheduled for completion this year across the UAE. We are proud of this achievement and will continue to work towards enhancing the experience of our customers by offering high-quality services and products through an expanded presence across the country," Al Rashdi added.
ADNOC Distribution is advancing its mission to offer alternative low-emissions fuels through its plan to announce Mahawi North service station as the Arabian Gulf’s largest natural gas for vehicles (NGV) service station.
By 2017, the new station will be the main CNG provider to the wider service station network of ADNOC Distribution. The station’s planned pumping capacity is 2,850 cubic meters per hour.
Al Rashdi added: "The provision of infrastructure that will encourage the spread of clean energy vehicles, particularly compressed natural gas, is one of the key elements of ADNOC's distribution strategy to support Abu Dhabi's efforts to reduce carbon emissions for vehicles."
The service station offers a wide range of facilities and services, including oil change, manual and automatic car wash, an LPG cylinder depot, an ADNOC Oasis convenience store, two fast food outlets, a Starbucks coffee shop and a mosque.
ADNOC Distribution will also announce the opening of a new Autoserv center in Mahawi North service station.
Like all ADNOC Distribution service stations, the newly opened service station is fitted out with state-of-the-art HSE equipment, creating a safer and healthier environment for employees and customers as well as residents of the surrounding areas.
