In yet another endorsement of its growing reputation within the global events industry, both ADNEC's existing venues, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and ExCeL London, have won key awards at the Exhibition News Awards held at the Lancaster Hotel in the UK capital on 7th May 2010.
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre won "Best International Venue" beating competition from two Singapore venues - SUNTEC (Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre) and Singapore Expo while ADNEC-owned, ExCeL London, was awarded "Best UK Venue" beating fellow nominees Scottish Exhibition & Convention Centre and ACC Liverpool. ExCeL London also won "Best Venue Support" against Wembley Stadium and Sandown Park Racecourse.
The prestigious Exhibition News Awards conducted by Mash Media, a major publishing house for the events industry, are voted for by the exhibition industry.
Commenting on a successful evening for ADNEC, His Excellency Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Managing Director of ADNEC said, "We are delighted that both ADNEC and ExCeL have been recognised as the best in their markets by the Exhibition News awards. ADNEC won seven major awards in 2009, while ExCeL London has now picked up twelve major accolades since ADNEC acquired it in May 2008.
