Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a top-tier Islamic financial services institution, has hosted a number of road shows on financial responsibility at Ajman University of Science & Technology and Zayed University in Abu Dhabi. These events form part of ADIB's wider CRS strategy of which its ongoing Financial Literacy Programme is a central pillar.

ADIB's Financial Literacy Programme, which includes a series of presentations in schools and universities, was launched by ADIB to educate young people in the UAE on how to use money wisely and make well-informed financial decisions.

The latest presentations to over 300 participants in allwere conducted by Hassan Al Nuwais, Marketing Manager at ADIB, who explained some of the key topics covered in ADIB's Financial Literacy Programme - SmartMoney -which provides advice and tips on sensible and careful personal financial management and the benefits of saving from an early age. The presentations were each followed by a quiz, which gave students a valuable opportunity to assess their financial awareness and ensured that they took away key points from the programme.

"Since 2011, ADIB has dedicated significant resources towards educating the UAE's youth about the importance of good money management and engaging them in financial literacy campaigns."said Nawal Al Bayari, Business Head at ADIB's Retail Segment, added. "We believe that visiting UAE universities and other entities will help to spread awareness about making well-informed financial decisionsto achieve financial health and security, and we are very keen to make such visits a regular event to reach as many students as we can."

ADIB has developed a SmartMoneyBooklet to support its Financial Literacy Programme, which explains in simple, easy to understand and apply terms the essential elements of good personal financial management including budgeting, savings, debt, risks, investments and personal wealth.
