Abu Dhabi, 16th October 2008 - Sesam Business Consultants in conjunction with American University in Dubai are organizing the third conference and exposition for the Green Building Scheme at the Abu Dhabi Armed Forces Officers Club on November 3rd, 2008. The conference, named "Abu Dhabi Green", will be free of charge and the first event in Abu Dhabi introducing the new Abu Dhabi-specific guidelines for sustainable buildings 'ESTIDAMA'.
The "Abu Dhabi Green" conference aims at educating professionals from the construction industry at large and in particlular architects, engineers, property developers and consultants on the vision of Abu Dhabi, the newly released ESTIDAMA program and the future outlook for sustainable building in Abu Dhabi and beyond. Presenting at the conference will be the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council with an in-depth introduction to the ESTIDAMA program and the costs and benefits of sustainable building in general. In addition, green building industry leaders will discuss topics and issues related to indoor environmental quality, energy and water and architecture in three separate workshops.
"The conferences are highly educational, considering both ecological and economical thinking. With the series we try to highlight requirements for sustainable buildings and provide answers and solutions, "said Boris Ritter, general manager, Sesam Business Consultants.
Alongside the conference, the exposition "Green Innovations" will showcase dynamic and innovative companies with their environment-friendly and sustainable green building products and solutions.
The first two conferences in the series took place in February und June 2008. Both attracted considerable attention with more than 400 delegates each.
Accredited institutes like the German Fraunhofer Institute and the Emirates Green Building Council were recruited as partners and chairmen or keynote speakers for the individual workshops. Important industry leaders like Siemens, Henkel, Viessmann, Cisco and Grohe presented their green solutions
Like the previous conference the organizers will ensure, that "Abu Dhabi Green" is a carbon-neural conference, by offsetting its carbon emissions.
