Abu Dubai- 8th October 2009: Abu Dhabi Al Oula, Abu Dhabi Media Company's (ADMC) flagship general entertainment television channel has shown significant growth in viewership across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the Ramadan period, according to a report from audience research firm IPSOS.
According to the IPSOS MediaCT report, Abu Dhabi Al Oula increased its Share of Audience (SOA) by 56.7% in the Kingdom, while its Television Rating Points (TRPs) rose by more than 77% for the corresponding period in 2008. Significantly, the report shows that the reach for Abu Dhabi Al Oula increased by more than 74% since 2008, making it one of the biggest gains in viewership registered as one of the top 10 viewed channels in the kingdom during Ramadan. The research finding also placed Abu Dhabi Al Oula third amongst the top five television channels in Saudi Arabia and demonstrated that it was the only one to make any gains in market share.
