Manama- 31st May 2009: The once-in-2-months meeting of ABTTA (Association of Bahrain Tours & Travel Agents) took place yesterday at Gulf Hotel, Diplomatic Area at 7.00pm. The dinner meeting of ABTTA was hosted by Gulf Air, the Official Airline for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The ABTTA meeting focussed on the special initiatives planned by Gulf Air for the ABTTA members. Mr. Essam Abdulhameed Al Hammadi, the General Manager of Gulf Air in Bahrain & the Eastern Province, presented the latest offering from Gulf Air to the audience.
"At ABTTA, we are committed to working together with global partners to benefit the local Bahraini travel and tourism industry, and more importantly, the passengers. We are confident that our association with Gulf Air will help ABTTA members in their goal of promoting Travel & Tourism in Bahrain," said Sofyan Almoayed, Chairman of ABTTA.
ABTTA has already crossed several milestones including a soon-to-be signed Training partnership with TAMKEEN and Bahrain Training Institute for providing training to Bahrainis on Travel & Tourism. ABTTA has also signed a cooperation agreement with Amadeus, one of the leading Global travel Distribution Systems.
