Event organisers witness record demand with majority of allocated space sold out 13 months ahead of time

Abu Dhabi, January 26, 2014: The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX LLC), an ADNEC Group company, today announced that 90% of available exhibition space has been reserved by exhibitors for the IDEX 2015 edition.

"The level of interest shown in IDEX 2015 is remarkable. We are currently witnessing the highest demand for exhibition space in the event's two decade history and the enthusiasm expressed by the industry for next year's showcase further qualifies IDEX as the world's leading joint defence exhibition," said Saleh Al Marzooqi, Chief Executive Officer, IDEX LLC.

"Evidently, exhibitors continue to value the strength of IDEX as a strategic platform, showcasing the very latest technology and innovation that is currently shaping the modern defence industry. IDEX 2013, which took place in February, was the most successful edition in the event's history, with 1,112 exhibiting companies from 59 countries and over 80,000 visitors. Doubling in size from the previous edition, the Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) ran alongside IDEX 2013 and hosted 80 exhibitors.

IDEX is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and supported by His Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Organized by ADNEC in coordination with the UAE Armed Forces GHQ and Tawazun, IDEX 2015 Strategic Partner, IDEX will take place at Abu Dhabi's National Exhibition Centre from the 22nd- 26th February 2015.
