Riyadh, 3 December, 2007 - Al-Elm Information Security said yesterday that number of re-entry visas issued electronically via internet during the last period through the new program "Muqeem" exceeded 50 000 re-entry visas. The company considered that an evidence of increasing awareness of the features of electronic services between big and small companies.

The CEO of Al-Elm Information Security, Dr. Khaled Ben Abdul Azeez Al-Gonaim, said that the number of residents of the incorporated organizations subscribing to the service exceeded more than 400 000 resident up to date. This reflects the great satisfaction among the owners of the private organizations of this service and its importance in helping them to facilitate the process of their sponsored employees easily way while they are on duty.

He announced in a statement distributed yesterday that the company has finished the development of Almuqeem services in order to let the beneficiary electronically canceling re-entry visa. This comes after the great success of issuing visa.

Dr. Gonaim added that canceling the re-entry visa comes as a continuation and complementary for the issuing process. As the option of canceling the electronic visas that were issued by Muqeem service is made available during the validity period. This aims to develop interactive services in Muqeem system in order to allow the subscribers to electronically process the transactions of their sponsored employees needless to visit any branches of the Passport Departments.

Dr. Gonaim clarified that the sponsor is entitled to cancel the single electronic re-entry visa after issuing it at any time as long as the travel date is not exceeded, taking into consideration that (travel date before) is three months of issuing date, as the resident can't cancel the re-entry visa after it is expired or used.

He also added that it is not possible to cancel a re-entry visa that was issued by one of the branches of Passport Department through Muqeem service. Also it is not possible to cancel a single electronic return visa if the resident who owns the visa is out of the kingdom, if the period of (travel before) was expired, if the resident has no any single electronic return visa or he used the electronic visa.

He pointed out that Al-Elm Information Security Co. will present its experiences in the field of electronic government achievement in the Conference of Information Technology and National Security which headed by The Chairman of General Intelligence on Sunday under the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn AbdullAziz, through ten services that are provided by Al-Elm, like Muqeem service, which were launched two years ago, and the Shomoos, Tamm, Yaqin, Nafaz, and Ishaar services.

Dr. Gonaim assured that Al-Elm participation in this conference is achievement for conference objectives through informing organizations and participant parties of the new developments and inventions in the field of information technology, clarifying that Al-Elm company is one of the leading companies in the field of electronic government implementations through several services that are presented to the public and private sectors and to the individuals as well.
