The event held in Dubai has the support of the UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention
Dubai - The Arab Paediatric Medical Congress kicks off in Dubai this Thursday, 2nd of March, gathering a panel of 50 experts in neonatology, child nutrition and rare diseases. The three-day event, organized by Maarefah Management and backed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, counts with the support of renowned institutions such as, the College of Natural and Health Sciences – Zayed University, the Saudi Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, the Bahrain Medical Society, and sponsorship of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in the United States, Pigeon Middle East and Olayan Kimberly-Clark.
After last year’s success, the organization is counting with the participation of hundreds of professionals from the region who are eager to learn the latest and best practices in the health care of children. Besides the conferences, the programme has a hands-on-practice approach with a full day of workshops dedicated to issues such as: how to manage severe sepsis and septic shock in children, managing epilepsy in children, digestive disorders functional management, learning difficulties and disorders of the nervous system, preventing and control infections in neonates, or screening and diagnosis of congenital heart disease in the early postpartum and its latest technology.
The 4th Arab Paediatric Medical Congress includes a list of relevant regional and international speakers: Dr. Fatima Sultan Al Olama - Consultant and Head of Child Healthcare Unit, in DHA (Dubai Health Authority) -, Dr. Eslam Elbaroudy - general paediatrician at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City-, Dr. Fatima Bastaki, consultant of paediatrics and clinical genetics at Latifa Hospital -, Dr. Haleema Al Sabah - assistant professor and chair of the Public Health Nutrition Department, College of Natural and Health Sciences (Zayed University) -, Dr. Huda Sadeq – consultant paediatrics Neurodev at Mafraq Hospital -, Dr. Jehan Suleiman - consultant pediatrics neurologist at Tawam Hospital -, Dr. Julian Eason – chief of neonatology department at Corniche Hospital Abu Dhabi -, Dr. Sridhar Kalyanasundaram - director of neonatology an d chief of paediatrics at American Hospital -, Dr. Roy Philip - consultant pediatrician and neonatologist at University Hospital Limerick, Ireland -, Dr. Fahad Al Sufayan - consultant paediatrician and neonatologist, Division Head, Paediatric at National Guard Hospital (Saudi Arabia).
The three-day event will be held at Conrad Hotel Dubai.
