Held in association with Leading Concepts and Center for Creative Leadership

Dubai, February 12, 2007 -- Dubai Holding yesterday held a seminar for its internal staff and invited guests on the topic of leadership. The speaker was Sara Ais, associate and feedback coach and trainer of Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), one of the exclusive business education partners of Leading Concepts, Dubai UAE.

The seminar was arranged by Dubai Holding's Business Excellence division which has previously arranged seminars on key professional development topics.  More than 70 participants attended the seminar. "We are very pleased with the turnout of the participants which is amongst the highest for all our events. More so the area of leadership is one that has gained a lot of momentum especially in the UAE over the last couple of years which is evident with the number of people who attended the event this time." said Mr. Shawqi Sajwani, Group Director Business Excellence at Dubai Holding.

Upon entry each participant was handed a card with a different image and on enquiry about the significance of the card, the participants were asked to wait for the seminar to begin for the mystery to unravel. The presenter and coach Sara Ais during the presentation requested each participant to view the cards and describe the image and then explain what they understood from the image in terms of leadership.

The seminar addressed key elements that make up leadership, research that has been conducted by CCL around the world on the most important tasks that leadership should encompass and exercise, the positive and negative personal characteristics of a leader and how they affect certain situations and the most common derailment factors of leadership. The seminar ended with a Q&A session and a popular saying by Abraham Maslow that the presenter Sara Ais used to describe a common practice of leaders "If you only have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail."
